What is WAP?WAP is the current standard for receiving the Internet on mobile phones. If you have a WAP phone, you can visit WAP Internet sites, in the same way as you can visit web sites from your computer. WAP sites are a lot simpler than web sites, since a phone has so little screen space and it is slower to download or enter data. WAP sites can still provide lots of useful information when you need it most - on the move.
How do I use a WAP phone? If you have bought a WAP phone, you will often find it already configured by your phone company to connect to the Internet. Most allow you to visit sites other than their home page by typing in the web address you want. The option allowing you to do this is usually called something like 'Go to address' or 'Go to URL'. Adding UKCompass as a bookmark will save having to type the address every time.
Adding a bookmark to UKCompassYour phone's user guide will explain how to add sites to your bookmarks or favourites list.
If you have a Nokia 7110, access the main menu and then select the 'Services' option. Scroll down and select 'Bookmarks'. Use the 'Options' button to bring up the Bookmarks menu and select 'Add bookmark'. When prompted, our address is http://ukcompass.com/ You don't need to type in the http:// part, but do remember the trailing slash. Press 'OK' to save the address, and on the next screen, add the title of the site - 'UKCompass' and click 'OK'.
You have now stored UKCompass as a bookmark! To use your bookmarks, click with the navi-roller when the bookmark is highlighted.
